Dear pen pal,

My name is Carlos Garrido Villanueva. I´m 15 years old and my birthday is 27th December. I was born in Seville, but when I was 3 years old, I went to Chipiona. I have got a sister, her name is Noelia and my father and mother names are Doris and Carlos. I haven´t got any pet but, two years ago I had got two turtles. My town, Chipiona, is situated in Cádiz (in the south of Spain). Chipiona has got beautiful beaches and a big lighthouse, but it hasn´t got a cinema and a shopping centre. One of the most important things of Chipiona is the Carnival. The name of my school is Caepionis. In the future, I want to be a photographer and earn a lot of money. I like football, watch TV, play with the console and go out with my friends. I hate get up early in the morning, dancing and go to school. I usually play football with my friends at the sports centre and play with the console. My favorite football team is Sevilla FC and my favorite football player is Jesús Navas. My favorite food is pasta and I sometimes eat it. I like pop and rock music and my favorite singer is Neyo. The weather in Chipiona is usually good, but now it isn´t good. In the summer, I´m going to go to the beach with my friends. My favorite film is Soy Leyenda.

Sherlock Holmes was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He was created in 1887. Whith Dracula, Sherlock Holmes is the literature character who is in most films. Dr Joseph Bell inspired the creation of Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle learn French because he wanted to read Jules Verne in the original.

7 million hardbacks and 100 million paperbacks of Sherlock Holmes book have been sold. In the 2010 film appears two famous actors: Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

Then

I used to have short hair when I was 7 years old. I used to be very shy, but very funny. I used to wear an uniform every days, but I didn't like it. I liked sports, football especially, but I didn't use to play it very much. I used to watch cartoons on TV, for example "The Teletubies", I really liked it. I lived in a small flat.

Now

I have got short hair but I sometimes cahnge my hairstyle. I am funny and optimistic. I wear sporty clothes. I like football and I play it twice a week with my friends. I don't like watching cartoons, I prefer watching football matches, films and sport news. Now, I live in a new house. I like going out with my friends and play with PS3.

A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER

I went to Paris, France. I went with my parents and my sister. I travelled by plane from Seville to Paris. I stayed in a luxury hotel inside the theme park “Disneyland”; it was a fantastic theme park. In the hotel there was a big swimming pool, a Tv in my room, a gym, Jacuzzi and a good restaurant; the hotel was great. I stayed in there for 5 days, but we needed more days to visit all Disneyland. The weather was changeable.

In Paris, I visited the Eiffel Tower, I crossed the river “Sienna” while I was seeing a lot of monuments as the Cathedral of Notredame, the museum Louvre, etc. The typical food of Paris was delicious, but it was very expensive, The french people were gentle, but I wasn´t can speak with them because I don´t speak French.

In the day, I visited different monuments of Paris. In the evenings, I went to Disneyland and I rode in the different attractions of the theme park. At night, I walked and I watched special shows in Disneyland. I bought souvenirs and I took photos about the holiday. I recommend go to Paris and Disneyland because Paris is a great city and Disneyland is one of the best theme park in the world.

All about me

My name is Carlos Garrido Villanueva. I was born in Seville, but I moved to Chipiona (Cádiz) when I was 3 years old. I´m 14 years old and my birthday is on 27^th December. I have got a sister, her name is Noelia, she is 16 years old and she wants to study psychology. My mother is from Chipiona, but my father is from Seville and they work in a kitchen store. I´m studying at a secondary school and its name is “Caepionis”.

I´m sporty and I love soccer. My favourite soccer team is Sevilla F.C. and my favourite soccer player is Jesús Navas. I go to the sports center to play soccer with my friends twice a week. I like listening to music, I listen to music twice a week. My favourite singer is Neyo. Also, I like travelling, I went to France five years ago and I visited the “Eiffel Tower”; it´s fantastic. I like reading, but I don’t read very much. My favourite animal is dog. My favourite number is 16. I hate getting up early in the morning, but I have to get up at 7:30 to get to school on time. I like summer, but I prefer the winter.
