Our visit to Barbadillo winery

The wine making process

- 1. Vines are grown in a soil called ‘Albariza’.

- 2. Palomino grapes are carefully cut from the vines.

- 3. Musts are poured in metal tanks.

- 4. The new wines are classified for ageing.

- 5. Casks are made of American oak.

- 6. Older wines are blended with younger wines.

- 7. Fino wines are aged under yeast or ‘velo de flor’.

- 8. Wine is bottled from the lower butt.

- 9. Manzanilla is produced only in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

- 10. Barbadillo wines are sold worldwide.
